Information Session launched in Sulaymaniyah
UNDP, the Governorate of Sulaymaniyah and Rwanga Foundation continued with a series of 10 information sessions for companies on how to apply under the Job Creation grant scheme, on 31 October 2019.
To engage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that are interested in contributing to improving employability and generating jobs mainly for youth and women, five information sessions will be held in Erbil, 2 in Duhok and 3 Sulaymaniyah.
The first 3 information sessions held in Erbil, Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah were attended by 127 companies. Highly interactive, the sessions were designed to inform businesses about the scheme, application process and requirements.The Governor of Sulaymaniyah, Dr. Haval Abubakir, said: “This day for us, is an important day in Sulaymaniyah governorate. we kindly ask all the companies to take parts in this project as they always were a great support for the government of Kurdistan for enabling job opportunities for youths”. Director of Programs at Rwanga Foundation, Mr. Dastan Qadir, added: ‘’We hope that businesses will eagerly take part in this grant scheme, as they will contribute to generating jobs, mainly for youth and women, and growing the economy.’’The application deadline is December 10th, 2019 for all SMEs which are meeting the requirements.Interested companies shall submit their application electronically through [email protected] for more information and inquires please dial: 0770 251 0222.
